Salkantay Trek 4 Days

from $ USD 100.00

Experience the incredible Salkantay Trek, a condensed version of the renowned 4-day hike, perfect for those with limited time but a desire for an unforgettable adventure. This trek ensures you still get to enjoy all the highlights within a shorter timeframe.

The first three days of the trek are identical to the full 5-day version, immersing you in awe-inspiring landscapes and natural wonders. On the third day, the entire group will reach the Santa Teresa campsite for a delicious lunch around 01:00 pm.

For those on the 4-day hike, a thrilling twist awaits after lunch. A 45-minute drive will take you to Hidroeléctrica, followed by a picturesque 3-hour walk to the charming town of Aguas Calientes. You’ll settle into your lodging and prepare for an extraordinary evening.

During dinner, you’ll have the opportunity to join another group of trekkers who started a day earlier. Together, you’ll embark on an unforgettable visit to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu. This unique experience allows you to share stories, make connections, and revel in the wonder of this ancient citadel.

Please note that if there are enough participants interested in the 4-day hike, you’ll have the privilege of trekking with your own dedicated group, ensuring a personalized and intimate experience throughout your adventure.

Rest assured that despite the shorter duration, this program still grants you access to breathtaking mountains, serene lakes, and majestic glaciers comparable to the 5-day trek. The only exclusions are the visits to the Santa Teresa hot springs and the Llactapata ruins. Nevertheless, you can expect an exhilarating journey filled with natural beauty and unforgettable moments.

Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to embark on the Salkantay Trek, where every step will be a testament to the remarkable beauty of the Andean landscape.

Following the guided tour, you’ll have ample time to explore Machu Picchu at your own pace and immerse yourself in its enchanting atmosphere.

For adventurers holding tickets to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, an exciting opportunity awaits to conquer these majestic peaks (subject to limited availability set by the government and Ministry of Culture).
